Eachdraidh: Red Hand Mini-Mission (Early September)

"Cattle thieves have been targeting breeders near Treun. End their operations and return any stolen creatures they still have to the proper authorities."

It's simple enough. Bucky goes to the Nest, in Treun. There's a few locals in the area who know Steve, who know the Nest, and who know the Red Hand, and Bucky uses Steve's name and the Red Hand's name to ask around after the cattle thefts. The locals point him in the direction of the farmers who've had their cattle stolen. Bucky tracks them down, and though they're noticeably nervous to talk to an unseelie clad in black leather, they're eager to have their cattle returned. Most of them don't have a lot of information, but one or two of them were able to get a good look at the thieves and which way they were headed. And one farm had been robbed only the night before. There's still fresh tracks to follow.

So Bucky turns into a bear.

The bear has a much better sense of smell than he does, and he's able to follow the trail of a herd of cattle and the people driving it with ease.

It leads him to a small farm six miles away. In a large paddock is a very large herd of cows, all matching the descriptions of the cattle given to him by various farmers.

So he does what any sensible bear who's usually a highly trained human assassin would do.

He kills every person he can find.

Except for one, which he keeps for questioning.

He turns back into a human and ties the man up to a post and questions him, and learns that there's no one else, involved, and though much of the cattle's already been sold, most of the more recently stolen livestock is there in the paddock.

Bucky knocks the man out with a quick punch to the face and goes to find the authorities in Treun, alerts them to the unfortunate deaths of the cattle thieves and the existence of the stolen cattle in the paddock outside of Treun, as well as the one remaining thief. The men he speak to promise to take care of it, and Bucky glares until he's certain they will. In fact, he follows them as a bear just to make sure. To their credit, everything is taken care of without a hitch.

All that's left is to tell the Red Hand it's been taken of.
